Scuab Diving and Pirhana's
So lately I have just been working about 8 hours a day, telling everyone at work on my tours about this movie called Pirhana, which was filmed at Aquarena Springs/Center. We were told that they used syrup to attract sunfish and perch that kinda looked like pirhanas, and all this total bullcrap about the movie, well, after 4 or 5 months of telling eveyone this, I decided I wanted to watch Pirhana, but I couldn't find it anywhere in San Marcos, even though it is in San Marcos, so I bought it online for $4 off half.com, and told everyone at work that wanted to see it, and they all wanted to see it, and I was gonna wait for them to watch it, but I got tired of waiting, so I watched it tonite, and feel like I wasted 1.5 hours of my life, the movie was totally bogus, and there were NO live FISH, just rubber and mechanical fish, so there is a lie we told people, and the only thing syrup was used for was fake blood, the only good thing about the movie was seeing how nice Aquarena Springs used to look, I wish it was still up to par like it used to be. Oh well, overall, pirhana wasn't too bad, regular B movie, lots of boobs, and bad acting. Anyway, its not too bad, I might watch it again, and it might get better. I was joking with my bosses last week about doing a midnight showing of pirhana out on the edge of the water where it was filmed, and they actually liked the idea of that, so I might be in charge of putting that together, if it actually ever happens.
Besides working alot, I have been taking a computer animation class, the only bad thing is that it is 6-9 at night, plus its a new version, and the teacher doesn't know how to do everything, so when you ask a question, it takes a while for him to find out how to do it, then that makes you take longer to finish the project.
So besides watching Pirhana, I moved alot of heavy desks this morning at work, and we got all tired and sweaty, so after we got done moving all that crap, we all decided to go scuba diving, which is one of my new favorite hobbies/sports. So, Ethan (lake manager), Kevin (Ethans' assisant), Trey (the aquarium manager), Coal (good friend and fellow boat driver), and myself wetn diving. We started off in the show area, then moved to Diversion, (biggest spring ~18,000 gallons of water per minute), then moved to Cream of Wheat (200-300 low pressure springs, each producing 5-20 gallons of water per minute), then moved into the orginal river bed, which was damed up by General Burleson, and made the lake. The we went to an awesome spring, called Deep Hole, (the deepest part of the lake, ~27 feet deep), and hung out here for a while, and looked around for arrowheads and stuff, and then I realized that I was running real low on air, I only had 1000psi, which isn't that much, and so I was telling ppl that I was low, and Ethan motioned to me that I was ok, then we started to swim back, and I saw Ethan stop to mess with some coonstail, (a plant that floats around), and I continued to swim as fast as I could to get back to the submarine theater, because divers are not allowed to surface on the lake. Once we got out, Ethan swam up to me to make sure I was ok, and I told him I was ok, and he was like you were hauling so much ass, and you had that I gotta fin for my life look on your face, and he thought somethign was really wrong. I told him I was fine, just didn't wanna make him mad for surfacing on the lake, incase a boat was driving over us, which could be dangerous. It was really close though, I took in my last breath of air as I stuck my head outta the water in the show area, which is where we get out. But the diving down there is totally awesome, it is sooooo much different than what I see on the glass bottom boats.
Well, I am tired of typing, so I am going to bed now, gotta wake up and go to work and take kids on a tour and then playing in the river, yes as part of the tour. I love my job.
P.S. I talked to Marisa the Kissa today, she was on her free time, so they (Grace, Mar, Joe, adn SAm) ALL, went to find a computer, and they ended up at the library. She says they are doing great, and having an awesome time. So thats good to hear.
TODAY WAS AN AWESOME DAY!! I got to talk to Mar, Scuba dive, and see pirhana, plus the Pistons wipped up on the spurs.....YES!!
night night, I get paid in the morning, even better day.
